AntsWorld is a tangible interactive ant colony simulator where users can change parameters of a complex system and observe results on emergent behavior in real time. Ant colonies exhibit classic complex and emergent behavior and use different strategies for solving different tasks in nature. AntsWorld is intended to be installed in informal learning settings such as science museums, where visitors are encouraged to explore a scientific phenomenon, make hypotheses, and come to conclusions on their own and with friends and other visitors.
